Consular Processing
Our firm has particularly extensive experience advising and representing clients in connection with immigrant (permanent) and nonimmigrant (temporary) visa applications at the 100+ U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide. Consular law is a unique area of U.S. immigration law because visa applicants have no right to appeal adverse decisions (and are then literally stuck outside the U.S.) and because visa application procedures, including specific issues of concern to the Department of State, vary widely from country to country. We help clients anticipate such issues, avoid and resolve adjudication problems, and, in appropriate cases, represent clients at visa interviews to help maximize their chances of obtaining visas.
