Asylum & Humanitarian

We represent individuals pursuing asylum or related humanitarian relief because of conditions in their home countries that prevent them from returning there.

Asylum is a form of relief that protects individuals in the United States who are unable to return to their home countries because they fear being persecuted there based on their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. Persecution is defined to include a wide range of severe harm. Asylum protection is available to those who have been targeted or fear being targeted by government or groups or individuals the government is unable or unwilling to control. Individuals must apply for asylum within one year of their arrival in the United States, subject to exceptions.

At Davis & Goldfarb, we focus on representing immigrants, their families, and their employers.
